NGC Licenses Two Casino General Managers And FanDuel’s CFO

The Nevada Gaming Commission has granted certifications to two general managers of casinos in addition to the chief financial officer of FanDuel.

David Horn of the Durango Resort & Casino, Ryan Walker of Legends Bay Casino, and David Jennings, CFO of the FanDuel Group were awarded the certifications.

According to the gaming news, an executive team member of Red Rock Resorts provided the Commission with an exemplary assessment of the December opening of the Durango.

Prior to joining Legends Bay in August 2022, Walker oversaw the Tortoise Rock Casino in Twenty-nine Palms, California, where he held the position of general manager. He has been in his current position for approximately one year. The individual encountered some scrutiny from the Commission due to a federal tax liability stemming from a 2021 incentive that exceeded $35,000.

Nevertheless, he successfully circumvented that and was subsequently awarded the certification. He remitted a payment owed to the IRS, which Commissioner Oganna Brown and Commissioner Chair, Jennifer Togliatti, acknowledged and appreciated.

With respect to Jennings, there were no obstacles in his path. The certification was essential due to a revenue-sharing agreement between FanDuel and Boyd Gaming, which provides promotional and wagering odds for the sportsbook at the Fremont Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas. FanDuel possesses the necessary certifications pertaining to its operations in Nevada.

Commissioner Brian Krolicki spoke at length about the negative effects of gambling, a topic dear to Jennings’ heart, having effectively established the concept of responsible gambling in FanDuel.
